Educational + Therapeutic Horticulture Programming
I strive to ensure that a learning environment is accessible and equitable for all
I have worked with learners of all ages - from toddlers to elders, in a diversity of learning environments. I focus on hands-on, experiential education that is collaborative in and with nature.
Some of my favorite teaching topics include:
Growing Food // STEM in Gardening and Cooking // Food Systems // Food Justice // Seed Saving // Compost // Basic Nutrition // Herbalism // Nature Mindfulness and Forest Bathing // Nature Arts and Crafts // Garden Planning + Design // Whole Food and Culturally Relevant Cooking // Wildcrafting + Foraging
Therapeutic Horticulture:
Therapeutic Horticulture is a process that uses plants and plant-related activities through which participants strive to improve their well-being. Workshops are tailored to client and community needs.
Garden Coaching:
Garden Coaching is an educational service fit for your needs. Whether it’s help becoming a better gardener, planning your crop rotations, identifying weeds, pruning fruit trees, or engaging your kids, I am delighted to support you in cultivating a closer and more meaningful relationship with your garden.
Curriculum + Program Design
I have written and contributed to several curriculums ranging on a variety of food and garden topics, for a variety of audiences. With 10 years of program design and management experience, I can offer guidance in starting a new program as well.
